Zoo keeper & dolphin trainer?

To be honest you do not need a special school...

If you want marine mammals then go for a marine bio degree. If you are not sure if you want to work with just marine mammals then you want any bio science degree such as zoology, biology, natural resources, etc, etc, etc. Most zoos and aquariums do not care what your degree is in as long as you have one and it is related. Should have no problem finding a university that offers bio related science.

No matter what species you end up working with or whatever zoo/aquarium... you will also need experience. When you turn 18 start working at a zoo/aquarium. Can be part time, seasonally, internship whatever but you will need it. Also, it does not matter what species, experience is experience and most of the husbandry overlaps.

You can also look for animal behavior classes or degrees... some places offer it as a minor.

If you know you want aquatics also get scuba certified.

Take a scroll through the aza job postings it will give you an idea of what various zoos and aquariums require... http://www.aza.org/joblistings/

so I've been looking in to becoming a zoo keeper and I would love to be a dolphin trainer I've been having a hard time find a school in Texas or Louisiana or Oklahoma. I want to find a school that would benefit me and would help me find a job
