Wich animal is the fastest in the whole world?

The fastest land animal is the Cheetah which has a recorded speed of 96–120 km/h (60–75 mph). The Peregrine Falcon is the fastest bird, and the fastest member of the animal kingdom with a speed of 389 km/h (242 mph).

Cheetah

Data from 367 runs by three female and two male adults, with an average run distance of 173 m, showed that hunting cheetahs can run 58 miles (93 km) per hour. A recent study that followed 5 African cheetahs indicated that cheetahs relied most heavily on acceleration. Most chases involved extreme maneuverability more than speed. The study indicated that cheetahs seemed to rarely run close to 60 mph or more; on most hunts they reached 30 to 35 mph, but they accelerated and changed direction much more rapidly than any other land animal.

It's not a cheetah, i don't understand why people think cheetah is the fastest animal on the planet (other than those dumb phrases ("faster than a cheetah" "fast as a cheetah" etc...)

The fastest animal is a peregrine falcon (as @Tundra Rob said up above) it can fly up to 242 mph (389 km/h)

Other animals such as white-throated needletails, frigatebirds, and black marlin all swim/fly faster than cheetahs run, so cheetahs are not the fastest land animals.

Cheetahs are the fastest land animal though, speed is very important to cheetahs, they don't defend themselves very well in fights.

Fastest animal movement goes to the jelly fish stingers they take only 5 nano seconds to inject you with some crazy toxin 100 times faster then a bullet leaving a 30 6

The cheetah can run faster than any other land animal— as fast as 112 to 120 km/h (70 to 75 mph) in short bursts covering distances up to 500 m (1,600 ft), and has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in three seconds.

The Cheetah (120km/h) is the fastest land animal, but he is a slowpoke compared to the Peregrine Falcon which has been tracked flying at speeds as high as 389 km/h.
