Similar how a White Bengal tiger can not survive, due to living in warm environments where it is easily spotted. When it should infact be Siberian; in order to blend in with the Russian weather.
Also, another reason why no ligers will be found in the wild is because male lions and tigresses will never come into contact with eachother. Lions are found in Africa, and tigers in Asia. With the exception of India where the Gir Forest is there are Asiatic lions and Bengal tigers, but it is thought by many experts that tigers drove lions from the area, so they no longer co-exist.
Because their native habitats are not in the same area. Tigers range across eastern Europe and Asia from the Siberian taiga to open grasslands and tropical mangrove swamps. Lions from sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. Essentially, tigers prefer a wetland environment where lions prefer dry grasslands.
Well for starters the red and blue map shows where lion live (past and present) and the green and cream map shows where tiger live (past and present).
I think you can work it out for yourself as to why we haven't any liger.
Basically it's because they don't live near each other.

In my biology lesson we are doing an extended writing task ( kind of like an informal test) in which we have to answer the question why there wouldn't be any ligers in the wild. I have a couple of ideas and hat it has to do with their genes and stuff but can anyone give me a couple of good reasons why? Thanks !
