Sometimes you just have to lock things away from inquisitive and playful animals. I had a kitten (who grew into a cat) who loved gloves, and would always steal them, then play with them until they were ripped to shreds.

My ferrets constantly steal my shoes and flip flops and hide them randomly around my house and I'm wondering exactly why all ferrets are notorious for stealing random things. Do they store their food in the wild? Aren't ferrets domesticated. Why would tht trait of stealing still be passed down?
