Only if the temperature drops low enough . Other wise they chirp all night because they are looking for a mate .
Fill a glass jar half full with molasses and place it in the cricket-infested area. If the crickets are in your tree, you can use a coat hanger for a makeshift holder for the jar and hang it in your tree. They will be attracted to it, jump in and drown. You will need to clean it out regularly. No harsh chemical needed.
They are considerate creatures that let you sleep, and they also sleep too in their cricket kingdoms.
Maybe they're sleeping...
