Mashed up fruit you have to give it to them in little pieces and amounts on your finger they will open up there mouth then you can place it there they will swallow it good luck.
Make sure you feed baby birds what they eat robins do not eat seeds they like worms. Look the species of bird up on yahoo and find out what they eat.
