What kind of spider is this? (UK)?

I found this spider while doing some gardening and just wondering what species it is as it's quite large.

I live in Scotland in the UK.

This is a very harmless common house spider.



A giant house spider, Eratigena atrica. Quite harmless, I wish we could get them here (I live in southern U.S.). At least we have widow spiders.
