What kind of cows produce mushrooms?

Does any kind of cow produce mushrooms? Do they require a certain type of grass? Is there anything you can give them so they DON'T produce shrooms?

Mushrooms of the magic variety can be found in many areas, but most people do search for them in the cow fields. It's not that the cows produce mushrooms, but all it takes is one mushroom in a field to drop it's spores on the grass the cow eats and then the cow essentially processes the spores, goes to the bathroom, and from the manure more mushrooms grow. Some people even go so far to feed their cows apple slices with mushroom spore prints to encourage more mushrooms to grow.

You don't always have to check cow fields, but being around current or old pasture locations do help increase the likelihood of finding them. I've known plenty of people to stumble across them in the woods, but it's a few here or there where the cow fields can have so many that you can fill trash cans with them.

If you want mushrooms I recommend growing them yourself over picking wild. Not only do you have to deal with not identifying correct mushrooms and getting sick, but you could phase legal issues like trespassing to pick them. It's not legal to grow them (it's also not legal to go picking them), but you can buy the spores in most states and everything else needed can be bought at Walmart for $50 or less.

The mushroom spores are eaten by the cow and pooped out. The paddy is a perfect spot for mushrooms to grow.

????? What in the world makes you think that cows make mushrooms?

Mooshrooms. You can kill them and you get red mushrooms.
