That's a species of horseshoe crab. Horseshoe crabs are marine arthropods of the family Limulidae. They live primarily in and around shallow ocean waters on soft sandy or muddy bottoms. There are four genera in the family Limulidae:
1. Carcinoscorpius
2. Limulus
3. Mesolimulus (This genus is extinct)
4. Tachypleus
