What is a easy pet bird to take care of?

Since you will be gone for quite awhile I would suggest not getting, a parrot, or doves, any bird that requires human attention. I think you should get a finch or canary. If you want a companion bird, then you should make more time for the bird or not get one. Getting two budgies could work also, they could keep each other company, but they would take longer to train.

A hen with a diaper. It may not be quite what you had in mind but many people keep hens as indoor pets. You'd need to get a companion chicken for it if you're gone that long, or else it would squawk from loneliness.

Taking care of birds is not easy. they are very attention hungry and poop a lot. I think parakeets are not as hard as parrots. Get 2 because when you are away they can chirp at each other. Get separate cages because unless you are breeding them they are very territorial.

Probably should have two. I recommend people get 2 cats if they are going to be gone so they can keep each other company.

I live in a apartment at the moment and was wanting to get a bird. The thing is during the day for about 9 hours nobody is home. I leave at about 7 and get back at 2:45. But after that I can come home and care for it and train it. I just want to know if there are any birds that don't mind as much being at home for that amount of time.
