Whatever it is, there's no cause for "panic", it's just a bug!

It's a very poor quality image, and you give no indication of where your kitchen IS, so it's hard to say... but if you are in the Northern United States, at this time of year, that may be a "Carpet beetle"...why it's up on your CEILING I couldn't say, since they usually live in your upholstered furniture or (surprise, surprise!) in the carpet...

If you start seeing lots more of them, call an exterminator...

Recently found this bug in my kitchen. Don't know if I should panic or not.
