Sometimes birds have terrors which is when something scares them and they try to escape any danger. When they do this they flap their wings and hit themselves against the bard of the cage. Usually when this happens the bird gets injured in some way wether it be its leg eye wing or head. Your bird just got the worst of it. First of all, hun.....not a good idea to give your full name.....especially when it has zero significance to the question. Secondly, parakeets die for many reasons. Drafts kill them, bacterial infections kill them, age can obviously kill them......mine died due to a cold draft. Your bird could of had a nightmare and hit the cage bars too hard and died. Sorry for your loss.

Hello my name is andrew lewis abd this morning I woke up to my parakeet banging around in the cage and I went to uncover the cage and she was dead. I don't know if she broke her neck our what her food bowl was completly full and so was her water bowl. Can anybody help?
