BUT depending on the age of the bird it could be a female.
Watch the cere, if it stays blue and darkens in color it is a male.
If it starts to change to lite pink to tanish brown then it is a female.
All young birds have blue cere's.
From the picture I would guess a female. I had two and they were lovely birds, sang up a storm, and were so loving.
to me it looks like a boy and girl I know it crazy but the shape face bottom legs it looks both to me.
I bought this bird yesterday and the women said it was male without looking at it. I was looking online and the color on top of its beak concludes it a young female but the darkness of the legs makes me assume it's a young male. I actually bought it for my adult female bird my question is what gender is it? If it's a young boy would it mate later on with her , an older female bird ,because it looks like a baby .
