White noise is sound, especially of a loud, continuous, or unpleasant kind, that seems to have no pattern or rhythm.
Either white people making noises, OR people use it to refer to any amount of noise in the background of what they are doing - noise that you are not actively listening to.
This is in the wrong category, btw. White noise is soft, continuous small sound waves. White noise is known to be soothing and aiding in sleep, as well as eliminating tinnitus.
White Noise, a thing many people find calming, is stuff like; the fan blowing, traffic, wind blowing, when you switch the channel to a static channel, waves, etc.
"White Noise" -is kinda like what You hear from passing Traffic, down the Street. You can't tell it's coming from any ONE Car, or Truck, or Bus... You just know it's ( white ) "noise"- of Traffic, passing By. :)
