I have two pigeons, a male (Zephyr) and a female (Aires). They are bonded and live together with us inside. A few weeks ago Aires seemed ill. She was lethargic, and her droppings were very watery. We took her to a vet and she got an antibiotic shot and water drops. We separated them and administered the meds. She regained all her strength and after 2 weeks we reunited Zephyr and Aires. Zephyr never became sick, but Aires still has watery droppings. The droppings do not seem to contain mucus, and she HAS been drinking a lot of water. Sometimes our birds shake a bit like tremors but nothing too serious. It looks like they are nervous but I've read that some infections can cause tremors. Is it likely that we are dealing with Salmonella or another infection? If so why didn't the antibiotics clear her up?
