Spiders dont bother sleeping humans, and on very rare occasion, one may crawl across your bed while sleeping, but it will just continue on its way.
You can read about all the phony spider myths here, and plenty you never knew about spiders:

Having a spider or few about the house is really worth while, and I have a couple in my room.
They have never been a nuisance save for a messy web, but I like watching them crawl up the wall and web back down behind my desk.
Like Annie states, they are great for eating pest bugs you may like worse.

Do you think maybe your friend is teasing ? I don't know of any spider (or anything else) with green feet and purple feelers.
As for real spiders, they are usually rather shy creatures, they are unlikely to get in your bed.
I wish I had a spider in my closet, it would keep away the moths without needing moth repellent.
Yesterday my friend said she found a spider in my closet, and she said it had purple feeler things and greenish feet (it was dark in there, so that information might not be helpful). Anyway, I've been reading up on things like spiders laying eggs in your hair or on your bed or I dont even know, but I'd really like some help on this. First of all, I know spiders like dark, calm places (right?), so will it even come out of my closet? I barely use it, but there's a place where it could crawl out even if its closed. Could the spider lay eggs in there and then they'd all come out? it'd be really nice to know the likelihood of spiders getting on your bed. Anything you can think of that would help me, and try to make it factual! Thanks so much!
