I know marine biologist do but I'm not really good at math and that kinda is a big part..:/ Is there any other jobs that have things to do with sharks?

Assistant Professor

University's department of biology has opening for assistant professor position. Applicants must have Ph.D. in marine biology, zoology, or ichthyology, plus a background in elasmobranch research, including relevant publications. Course load will include two introductory-level classes and one field class per semester to support our shark research station. Candidates with diving and boat handling experience will receive special consideration.

Aquarist

Aquarium seeks biologist/aquarist to manage shark tank exhibit. Responsibilities include maintaining water quality, establishing feeding schedules, and identifying and treating health problems. Must be willing to perform diving duties and demonstrations, including public speaking and interaction with visitors. Valid dive certification, knowledge of aquarium systems and two years prior experience required. Degree in zoology or related field is preferred. Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Aquarium Cleaner

Las Vegas casino seeks certified diver to maintain large shark tank. Responsibilities include cutting frozen fish to feed sharks, regular inspection and maintenance of filtration system, and removal of shark excrement from tank. Large aquarium experience a plus. Familiarity with a variety of shark species and their behavior required.

Cage Diver

Tour operator seeks certified diver for underwater tourist excursions. Responsibilities include chopping fish to use as chum (shark bait), releasing chum to attract sharks, and diving in shark cage with tourists to view sharks. Knowledge of white shark behavior a must. CPR and first aid training also required.

Data Manager

University-based shark research program seeks data manager to maintain research database. Must be organized and detail oriented, with good writing and communication skills. Bachelor's degree and experience with computer database and word processing software required. General knowledge of sharks a plus.

Shark Necropsy Technician

Marine research station seeks necropsy technician to dissect sharks. Must have veterinary degree or equivalent experience. Responsibilities include determining cause of death, analyzing tissue samples for environmental effects, and determining diet based on stomach contents. Knowledge of local marine species required.

Shark Repellent Tester

We are looking for a brave person to help us develop a shark repellent for swimmers and divers. Responsibilities include cutting up rotten shark carcasses, assisting in the lab, and testing the finished product. Basic knowledge of chemistry required. Must be a good swimmer.

Shark Spotter

Government of South Africa seeks shark spotters to monitor shark activity at public beaches. Spotters will be required to work five-hour shifts outdoors during daylight hours, alerting lifeguards and the National Sea Rescue Institute of any shark sightings. Must have good eyesight and be able to remain vigilant during entire shift. Familiarity with white sharks and other shark species a plus.

Shark Suit Tester

Inventor is looking for diver to help test shark attack survival suit. Must be a strong swimmer, preferably dive-certified. If the suit works, you will be handsomely rewarded.

Shark Tagger

Marine research organization seeks volunteer shark taggers to assist with shark migration study. Work will take place on our own research vessel, as well as several commercial shark-fishing boats. Volunteers will be asked to prepare and release chum to lure sharks, haul sharks out of the water, and assist research crew with surgical procedures to implant tags and tracking devices. All volunteers must have insurance and will be asked to sign a liability waiver.

Shark Taxidermist

Trophy company seeks skilled fiberglass artist to produce lifelike replicas of sharks for sport fishermen. Must be comfortable working with actual sharks to create plaster molds. Experience with fiberglass casting and painting required, as well as familiarity with basic taxidermy techniques.

Must have diving certification and bachelor's degree in fine arts or marine biology. Minimum five years experience required. Please submit portfolio and proof of current diving certification.

Must have good research, writing and editing skills, and experience creating quizzes, interactive games and articles, often on short notice. General knowledge of shark behavior and biology required.
