This is a very harmless garden orb weaver, and from the black and white pattern on its bottom, likely one of the Araneus genus, possibly an Araneus gemmoids, or Araneus gemma (tree spider)

If she is out of the way, you might just let her stay the rest of the season.

They are one of my favorite spiders, I used to play with them as a kid.

They do like porches, especially near lights and windows, that is where the bugs are.

It's one of the big orbweavers Since every single one of the orbweavers is harmless, there's no reason to worry about this one.

It has made a large web right outside the door to my deck, and I've been trying to figure out what kind of spider it is for a while now. Please help!!
