a picture would be nice

The other night I was out on the porch sitting, and looked up at inside ceiling of the porch where the top of the columns that support the roof are, and there was this small animal about the size of a small rat with no tail and had it's face press against the eve fast asleep so i could not see it's face. But the most striking feature was it's feet they were long almost shaped like a humans feet sticking out with no appearence of them being attched to any arms or legs, they were just hanging flipper like while it was resting, (oh and by the way there was two of them on the tops of the columns not together. on different columns.)

I can tell they are not moles, because moles cannot climb at all. It's obvious that the animal prefers to sleep high off the ground and moles stay below the ground. WHAT ARE THESE CREATURES? HELP!!
