My aunt did the same thing to her parrot. What i saw her do is put flour on it. I dont know what it does but it stopped the bleeding. She just put the flour over the nail and she was holding her in a towel while she was working on the nail, i guess to, i dont know, keep her calm or keep her from freaking out. Again i am not sure if this worked.

Apply a gentle pressure with a clean pad of gauze or tissue to stop the bleeding, it will stop, next time let your Vet do the clipping.

Stick some cornflour or ordinary flour on it to seal it. You may want to ring the vet in the morning to see if there is anything else you need to do.

You put corn starch on it to stop the bleeding. This is the most common thing to do.

I was cutting my african grey parrot's nail and i clipped too much and it wont stop bleeding . now its bleeding less than before but I'm so scared and its midnights there's no vet open anywhere and he wont let me touch him at all
