The Baffin Island wolf?

The Baffin island wolf (Canis lupus menningi) is a type of Arctic wolf that is primarily found in Baffin island. It is not a species or "breed, it is a subspecies, so there isn't much difference between a timber wolf in Montana and a Baffin island wolf. Major differences include primary/secondary food sources, coat/fur markings, habitat, etc. They are the smallest type of Arctic wolves, but they can survive extreme temperatures.

Wolves mostly protect each other and themselves from predators by using their senses and pack structure. If the happen to encounter a grizzly they will not attack it, instead they will circle it and outrun it.

They howl to defend pack territory. They can also intimidate enemies with their pack size. An outnumbered grizzly will be less motivated to approach a pack of 6 wolves.

The whole packs helps hunt, take care of the young, mark territories and maintain pack hierarchy. They have a much higher chance of surviving than a cougar does.

Wolves, in fact all mammals, are warmblooded.

Since the Baffin Island wolf is a type of Arctic wolf, their coat varies from pure white to many shades of gray. They have adapted to the cold weather, so they have a thick warm coat that grows out in the summer. They have taupe colored claws, a black nose, and a long tail.

I am writing a report on the Baffin Island wolf. I need to know: how do they protect themselves, warm or cold- blooded, and about their body covering. Please answer all questions thank you
