Find a spot you would want to have your budgie be at, put a hook in the ceiling (make sure that there is no chance of the hook coming out. Make sure there is a beam you are screwing it into.) and find a cage that you can hang from the hook on the ceiling. Birds love to be high up. Your bird would also be safe from the cats. If you didn't want the bird to be up quite that high, maybe hang it from a chain like you would a hanging light in a room.
Good luck! Hope you can keep your budgie!
I would but aluminum foil on top of the cage. Cats HATE it. Do it until the cat stops it permanently. Good luck!
Hi, I purchased a baby budgie a few days ago. The problem is my cats. One cat is fine, however the other one just keeps climbing the cage. I feel REALLY bad for my budgie and the fact that he is living in fear, so at the moment I have him in my bedroom. The problem with this is that i'm worried he will feel lonely as my bedroom is all the way down the end of the house, so I've been thinking about selling him so he can live with a family that are able to take good care of him. I will sell my cage/toys with him. Is this a good idea?
