YES!! But rhe question is are YOU allowed to own chickens where you live and are you able to supply all the needs reqired to haveing them?
Fresh egga are much healthers and you know what you are eating since you fed the animals your self No chemicales or steroids to produce bulk or mass production yours would get to have a day night atmosphere green grass to play and peck in feel the sun wind rain to where production type never do. So of course free range are much better than caged and eggs from these places if all were to raise their own these caged birds would be set free or sold to live a great life
It really is interesting to me, reading all this. A lot of good folks out there with good friendly input. I'm sitting here on the farm, giving away a couple dozen eggs a week to my neighbors and friends. I'd give you all some too if I could.
It would be better then store bought eggs, but from what I've heard of it chickens are realllllllllyyyyyyyyyy hard to raise and you barely get anything out of them.

Fresh eggs from chickens would be much better but it would be hard to find them. Look online to see where they would sell them, and check out a farm in your area.
They will definitely be fresher than store bought eggs. Check with your city before getting them. Found out in my city limits it was illegal to have "livestock."
