A good way to make them eat from your hand is to deprive them of food for a good 3-4 hours (don't worry, nothing bad will happen) in the middle of the day around noon and then just keep your hand still at the bottom of the cage with millet on it whilst you're watching TV cos it could take like 10-20 mins before they approach your hand.
The biggest thing you'll need to tame them is patience.
Good luck :)
I agree with francesco you should not clip their wing to short so if they get scared of you and try to fly off they dont get hurt and about not being terrified about you just let them get to know you :)
Yes
no birds need their wings to fly with out the wings they will need you get to their food and back to the perch just give them some time to get to know it is all ok
I got 2 male budgies
1 is a year old and 2 months
And the other is about almost a year old
I want to hand tame them but they are terrified of me
I've had one since the end of last summer
And the other at the end of October
The one I got last summer is the one that's more scared
Should I get their wings clipped?
If not how do I get them to not be terrified of me?
Do I separate them?
I've tried almost everything possible it was all working out until I got the second one then the first one was scared and the second one just eats millet spray out of my hand
No retarded answers pls
