They both have aggressive tempers. The retic is the longest snake (the anaconda has the greatest girth). The Komodo would probably not be too large for the snake to kill, even though it would be too large for the snake to swallow. But the Komodo has venom. It could bite the retic behind the head and kill it with teeth even before the venom takes effect. The Komodo has serrated off set teeth like shark teeth.
