Questions about raising a bird?

No, do not force feed him. You should feed him whenever he asks to, because the bird's digestive system is really small, and that's why birds poop a lot, so he get hungry very fast.

Also make sure that the bird is not in a cold place because the mother provides heat for their babies when they lay on them, if you did not do that then the poor thing will die very fast...

Also you don't have to release him when he's fully grown, my dad had raised a baby sparrow when he was a kid and when the sparrow grew up, he started following my dad and he loved him soo much!

Unfortunately the bird got killed by a person that was sitting on a chair (while the bird was on the chair, lol)

so yeah, he literally got suffocated and died.

So good luck on raising that baby.

This is what i would do.first find out what kind of out door bird this is...then go to yahoo.com on breeding this bird it will help you feed him right..good luck

So as I asked recently, I found a baby bird a day ago. No signs of the nest whatsoever (i'm still looking) so I'm taking care of him atm. He is maybe 3 days old. Probably 2 because he doesn't have any sort of feathers or down developed. I have been feeding him baby bird formula so far and he's been content with that but I was wondering when I should feed him hard food like mealworms. He is still very young and small so I don't want to switch to anything soon but I'm not sure. I want to release him in a month when/if he's fully developed. Any advice will be helpful. Also I'm not sure if I'm feeding him enough, I stop feeding when he stops opening his mouth or crying but he hasn't appeared to gain much weight. Should I force feed him? I don't want to risk choking him.
