Quaker Parrot problems PLEASE HELP!?

Try getting your dad to come into the room were your quaker is a couple of times a day and get him to feed your bird his favourite food and talk to him for a while. Aftet this you could get your dad to let him out of the cage while he does this until they get used to eachother. It is important that when they are doing this that they are the only ones in the room and make sure your bird only gets his favourite food when your dad is feeding it to him.

Maybe you could think about the reason your quaker doesn't like your dad? If you dont get on with your dad and you argue alot when your bird is around then he might pick up on that and think he is protecting you. The other possibility is that if you are a girl and your quaker is male he might think that you are mates and feel threatened by your dad as he thinks he is trying to "steal" you. If this is the case try giving your bird snd your dad time together without you in the room so that ypur quaker begins to trust ur dad. Good luck! :-b

Hi, I have a Quaker parrot it is 15 months old. My parrot getting out of control my bird just flies to my dad to bite him, and he bites him every time he sees him. He doesn't really like my parents, he just likes me and my older brother. My parrot knows hand training. I honestly don't know what else to do. Please help me and tell me what to do. How can he or me stop the biting?

We have tried.

Take away his food, and my dad giving him by hand

Talk to him nicely. My dad playing with him even though he doesn't like him.

My dad telling him to step up.

Hold his mouth.

My dad being nice to him, but my bird just bites him.

Putting him back into the cage when he does something wrong.
