I live on the beach, so seagulls are part of the shoreline lifestyle.
I love the seagulls because they are interesting to watch as they dive into the water and come up with a shellfish, which they fly over to a large rock to drop and crack open for their meals. The best part is that they leave clam, scallop and crab shells on the beach, which I collect to gather together on my seawall.
Also, the sound of the seagulls is relaxing and a never ending reminder of how lucky I feel to be living so close to the water. In addition, it is so cool to feed them to get a closer look at their faces and feathers.
EDIT: Marie is right, the seagulls disappear when fowl weather (pun intended) is in the forecast.
Nothing, I've been camping on the beach way to many times to find anything to like about seagulls. We call the dickbirds, because they're d*cks.

I like seagulls when they are flying about a mile away and headed in the opposite direction. They can be and annoying and dirty bird.
I like hearing the call of the seagulls in the late summer afternoon,it's very relaxing,and I like watching them dive for fish.
One thing I like is when I see them fly over my house ( I live about 1 & 1/2 miles from the water) I know a storm is coming, for the most part they stay right down by the water , only coming in land when the weather is turning bad. Then I have time to prepare, or go to the store or whatever I need todo to get ready.
I have seen this scene: a sunset casts a warm glow over the tufa formations as seagulls forage for dinner.
One day I was holding a cup of tea in hand, she was injured, she touched the wing of someone, and I felt so sorry for her ... I put a pinch on her wing, and after a while ... and took it flew, so he had there was no injury, since I love very seagulls!
When they do that thing where they scrunch up their neck so that their chest is really poofy. And also when they all gather around my feet when I feed them. It's like I suddenly became seagull god or something XD

I like to throw bread into the air and watch the gulls swoop to get it. I usually take a loaf. Left over doughnuts etc. are all fare for the gulls.

When they 'disappear' for the whole winter after being in parking lots everywhere and fields when a hard winter hits!!
They're a nuisance and unfortunately they aren't only ocean bound fowl birds!! Being in a northern state with lakes everywhere means they're always in parking lots as well!!
They eat a variety of different food. One day at the beach, I brought goldfish crackers, a sandwich, and pretzels. Some seagulls ate the remaining food.
When I'm at the beach, I like to put pieces of bread near people who aren't paying attention. Then I watch in amusement as they get surprised by a hoard of seagulls that invade and plumage their vicinity.

I guess I like seagulls pretty well, especially after watching the Disney movie Finding Nemo, but otherwise I guess seagulls aren't very appealing
