The promise of spring that arrives with them. The dedication of their parenting. The polite nature of their offspring, quietly waiting their turn for food, when many nestlings depend on aggression during feedings. I love to watch the insecurity of the fledged, awkward flyers, uncertain landings.

I like their singing and persistence, however they poop everywhere so I would like then to stay away.
