My Green Cheek Conure wont stop bitting! bites me when i try t out him in his cage. He hasnt gotten to the point where he draws blood but to the point of scars and ripped skin. I now gotten to the point where im too scared to even pick him up from my head to put on my shoulder let alone put him back in his cage. He has one time bit my hand hard and held on not letting go i had to shake him off and it left a permanent scar. Honestly i consider giving him up to the Human society or putting him on kijiji. I tried asking my mom what i should do but all he gave me i " i spend money on that bird! " so that didnt help with my situation at all. i tried as soon as he bites give a stern yet calm tone saying no, i tried as soon as he bites to put him in his cage, take his cage to my room, put a blanket over him and closed the door letting him be on time out for a min but as u can see i cant even put him in his cage without bitting. I go from my mom's to my dad's on weekends and i would take him with me sometimes but with the cage he had when i bought him. The day i didnt bring him cuz my mom told me she has a cage that i can use to put him in when he comes to visit so i dont have to carry his big heavy cage so i thought that was a good idea but i think him being in a new cage made him mad since it's a new cage and not his normal home. i dont bring him every day but once awhile.plz i need help he has made me to the point where my hand is really scarred and break down crying.
