Need advice on green cheek conure .?

God knows why you got the bird in the first place but you sound like a big ball of stress after only one day.Your bird will pick up on that you know.

Birds do not and cannot pluck the top of their heads either.

I have no idea how to answer you as you havent really asked a question. But IMO you don't seem at all capable of looking after the bird.

See the doctor about you anxiety or chill out.

No! Don't listen to them! let Him/Her out immediately so (Lets just say he) he will get used to the environment. she will also be tame enough to sit on you and cuddle with you. You can let her out. But don't grab her at all! She will get mad and bite and lose her trust.

Okay so I'm extremly worried about my new 5 month old green cheek conure who we bought at petsmart yesterday. The people at petsmart told us not to touch or let the bird out of its cage for the first few days, but I'm starting to think he/she (don't know) will never come out. I also don't think our bird is happy at all. The cage is fairly huge in front of a book case and window. He has three perches, food and water bowl, two toys, and a bed. The length of the cage is very large compared to its width and my bird has its wings clipped. I also noticed little gray hairs around his head as though he had been plucking all over. He seems unhappy, and it's stressing me out. I'm thinking of returning the bird because I don't think I'm capable of taking care of him/her. I am willing to spend time with her for 2-3 hours a day. At night and morning. I'm 16 yrs old about to be a junior in highschool (Its summer vacation now) and I need all the advice I can get. Should I return him/her? I just really want Mamoo (okay fine I named him/her) to be happy. HELLLPPPP
