My moms cockatiel just died in my hands.?!?

Mighta had a condition of sorts, but it's never easy. I had a budgie who lived for almost four years

before dying when I was 13 or so. Can still remember burying him under the lillac tree .. be strong.

I'm very sorry for your loss. you might want to take the body to an avian vet and have a necropsy done to find out what happened to the bird.

She could've been sick. There could've been a deformation you couldn't see, may have been a weak heart. The parents may not have fed her enough. She wasn't left in the cage by herself, I mean all this happened at once, right? Because if she was placed in a cage alone for a significant amount of time, days, then she may not have been fully weaned when you took her. But chances are, its nothing you did wrong, don't beat yourself up about it. I know that's easier said than done. Time heals.

Aww. A pet dying is sad, but you'll get over it in time

She was a young one about a few months old. She had all her wings out already. Anyways I moved her from the big cage where she was with her parents to a small one then I took that one inside and took her out to cut her wings. So she wouldn't fly away. When I was holding her with the glove she was biting it because she is not tame. But all of a sudden she just stopped biting it and stopped breathing. I was not squishing her what's so ever, I feel she died of a heart attack because she was scared and angry. But idk.
