My budgie suddenly died?

They don't usually live an entire month if they are sick. Looking fluffed out is definitely a sign that something is wrong, though. The bone was probably from not eating enough - she got emaciated so the bone was easy to feel under her feathers. It's hard to say what happened. Maybe she was eggbound, which happens when they don't have enough protein and calcium in their bodies to create and pass eggs. If she was eating a seed-only diet, this could be the cause. I'm really sorry you lost her.

A possible anwser is that she killed herself with the toy. This isn't uncommon at all. The toy will have rings or loose threads, the bird will start playing, get his neck or whatever tangled, and literally die from being hanged.

Poor thing, I'm so sorry. Next time try reading some more about saftey tips.

she must have been sick when you got her. I don't really know what could have happened. Was the bone coming out of the skin?

I had her for about a month now, she was fine yesterday, Then today she was in her cage hanging on her toy, she didn't look right to me, so I gently got her and looked at her to see if she was hurt, she was barely moving, and when she did she shook her whole body, her wings went out weirdly, and she flopped to her side, I had held her to keep her warm, she just layed her head on me and looked very puffy. her eyes were barely open, I called the pet store where I got her from, and they wouldn't do anything, she looked like she was sick when I first got her, But she got better, can anyone tell me why she died like this? I'm so upset..I loved her so much.

Oh and underneath her the bone was sticking out weird.
