I would have the vet take a look and probably glue it in place so that it doesn't grow improperly. A crack at the tip wouldn't usually be much of a problem but a crack up by the cere can be bad.
I have many budgies in a large cage. Some how they fought and i saw one of the females had a slightest crack at the tip of the place where the beak is joined to the cere. There was a drop of blood. I quickly took it out and wiped it with warm warm. I put little pressure on the area with cornstarch. There is no bleeding now. I want to ask that will the beak be okay or does it need to be glued by the vet. I am just worried that hopefully the beak would not come off gradually like a loose human tooth.
The beak is not loose but it has that tiniest of the tiniest of that crack.
