He's probably got a nick in that foot that you can't see and it's got infected. I'd be careful with creams as he may preen himself and swallow it. hopefully nature will get him well again.

My grey partridge (3 years old) he plays in mud everyday but today after he played about 30 minutes, he came back limping. His claw seems to be slightly swollen, I applied painkiller cream on his feet, he seems to be feeling better but I am no sure if I should have done that since that cream "Move" is meant for humans and not birds.

Did I do right? applying the cream. Is there anything else I should do?

Currently he's on my lap, taking nap. I am not letting him walk.

He's hurt his feet before and has limped but it has never been this bad, I am a bit worried.

PS: There's no physical injury except for slight swelling.
