Sorry but they decide if or when to breed - not you. Maybe they need more space from each other for awhile. Read up on breeding and see if there is anything else you can do to encourage the breeding.

I have a male and female parakeet who are about 2 and I really want them to mate! I bought them a nesting box today and I have done a lot of research. The parakeets are really friendly, and they always hang out, groom each other, and peck each others beak. They won't come near the nesting box and I really want baby birdiesssss! Someone plz help me!
