Marine Biologist Question: LifeStyle?

You won't be a marine biologist in your near future because you need academic degrees to be a marine biologist. First comes a four-year bachelor's degree, then comes a Ph.D. degree which usually takes an additional four or five years. Marine biologists don't do much "hanging out." It's a demanding profession.

Hi, I am quite sure that I want to become a Marine Biologist in my near future. I don't mind the pay, I like the fact that everyday is different and I can associate my life with animals. But I have one thing that is nagging me. I'm planning on getting married, if I ever find my true love :P, and I wanted to know: Do you work 365 days a week as a Biologist because I would definitely want time to hang out with my wife and children for a few months. I heard that some Biologist work out in the field for around 6 months or so and then work the rest of the month as a professor at a university, and I wouldn't mind this since I'll still be able to hang out with my family during the weekend and such.

Answer is appreciated!
