Fire ants are, as the name suggests, ants, rather than termites. Nasty little SOBs, aren't they? However, I can't tell much about the insect in the photo, other than that it is not a termite.
The wasp in your photo appears to be in the family Braconidae, or perhaps Ichneumonidae. In either case, it is non-stinging.
I work in a mill and have recently (last year) become allergic to fire ants. Is this a type of ant or Termite? Probably a dumb question but in my case important.
