You never put stuff in the but they do it them self other wise they won't use it to breed I had one and put it in my peach faces cage and my female started shredding paper which left me with two babies and two eggs which are expected it hatch any day now so just leave it and if you have a male and female they will do there thing if they are a true pair

i see my lovebird go in the breeding box and sometimes i see them both in it and when i first got the breeding box i had shredded paper in side and know there is nothing in side what does that mean
