All animals are related. Here, Persian cats, Bengal cats, and Bengal tigers are all in the cat family, or Felidae.
However, they are separated into different sub-families. The Bengal Tiger is a "Big Cat", in sub-family Pantherinae. These are distinguished by their fused hyoids (voice boxes), which allows them to roar.
The Bengal Cat and Persian Cat are both in sub-family Felinae. These cats cannot roar, and are the types most commonly seen as pets.
