Remember:
1) treats shouldnt exceed 10% of the baby's daily diet.
2) Do not feed your conure avocado, chocolate, or caffeine
3) Steer clear of a seed-only diet. Feed him fruits and vegetable too.
I feed my Sunny peanuts all the time - it's one of his favorites. As a treat, you can take 1/6 of the peanut (half of half of half of the original) and give it to him. I chose that size because it's not small enough to make the training not worth it but also not big enough for him to take too long to eat.
I read that peanuts are toxic to african greys. Why should it not be for other birds? I would use cut up apple slices to teach him tricks
My Sun Conure is handfed I just got him yesterday and he is 2 months old. He is really nice and doesn't bite. I'm trying to teach him tricks and whenever he does the trick right I have nothing to reward him. I'm scared that he might be allergic to Peanuts for some wierd reason. Please tell me if she is allergic or not or how I can find out. Also tell me if I should feed her a whole peanut or a little bit. (Be exact)
