I found 3 baby birds on the ground!?

Sorry kallie, most birds can not smell human scent on anything. Their best chance for survival is to put them up off the ground in a nearby bush or tree and stay away from it. Babies leave the nest early to be safe if a predator finds the nest and the parents hear it and care for it. They will not come if they see you so view them from afar with binoculars

First, you can try putting it back and if you see the parents not coming back, then you have to take it in. Can i first say, DON"T GIVE IT TO A LOCAL REHABILITATOR! They are ordered to kill any wild birds that can't fly and return to the nature. Keep it warm, don't waste money taking it to the vet, they will say give it to the wildlife rehabilitator. It will most likely be a sprain in the wings. You can feed it rice and mashed oats. They don't drink water until they are older! When it can fly, return it to the place you found her/him. If not, check with your state or city about keeping a wild animal at your house. They will most likely say you need a licence or permit. other then that, have fun

Young birds often leave the nest early....before they can fly or fly well. It's safer for them to move away from the nest. The parents still take care of them and feed them. Leave them alone....they are fine.

My father had went through something like this a little while back. I recommend putting them back in their nest carefully. My father, like i said, was in the same exact position, but only one little bird. He put it in the nest. He was afraid the mother abandoned them, but the next morning he was fine. (He was learning how to fly.)

So I suggest putting then in the nest and watching them maybe once in a while, if you have dogs/cats in the neighborhood.

yes your best bet is to but them back in the nest if were they are is not safe. Taking them to a shelter or rehab or even trying to hand feed them often does not go well.

I found 3 baby birds on the ground. I looked up and the nest seemed like they fell from the tree. What should i do. I feel bad if i don't do anything. Should i put the babies back in the nest and in the tree. The babies keep opening their mouths for food.
