I don't know!?

There are adoptable birds out there that you can get from reputable groups that take in homeless birds and try to find new homes for them. BUT you don't say how old you are. Unless you are an adult and living on your own, I'd advise against it. Your parents are probably afraid that you will lose interest in your pet or go off to college and leave it home and your parents will be stuck caring for it. In that case, the bird is likely to end up homeless or, even worse, ignored and lonely.

Another big problem for most pet birds: they live long lives. A parrotlet will live about 20 years or more. A conure can live to be 35. That means that you will be responsible for this small life for that period of time. Unlike other pets, birds can live a long time and often live in three or more homes over a long life.

Unless you are ready for this responsibility, you shouldn't get a bird.

Make them read this:

If I were to pick my green cheek conure or my phone, I'll pick my conure. Birds are one of the most playful and loving animal on the planet. Even more affectionate then dogs and cats. I have tons of birds and it is a joy keeping them. They are smart and you can teach them a lot of tricks. Getting birds was one of my best decisions of my life, whenever I had a bad day, my birds can sense it and will comfort me. They are a good companion.

please, please, please do not get a bird. The exotic pet trade is inhumane and birds do not belong in cages for there entire lives which can be as long as 100 years. Get a phone and do not support that pet trade!

I am really wanting a bird (green cheek conure or parrotlet) but my parents think otherwise. They want to get me a phone a I'm trying to convince them to let me get a bird instead. Can someone please help me convince them? Thank you
