If it's pinkish or brown, (maybe even kind of white) than it is a female, if its blue or kindof purple, than it is a male.
When they are still young, the nose is the same color. You can tell if it is still young because if the stripes on it's head go all the way down to it's mouth, than it's still very young. Once it gets older, the stripes will stop almost halfway.
Sorry but males are blue-purple,
And girls are brown to pinkish-white.

Since I was a little girl I've gone with the method: nose is blue = boy. Nose is pink/brown = girl. Recently I've heard that it's actually the other way around. Pink is boy blue is girl. So what's the truth??
