The dog food would be a big attractant and if they see it there regularly they will always come back in the hope of finding some even if it is not there all the time. You are going to have to remove it and put it somewhere else for your dog. I keep my dogs food indoors at the back door and if it is open they actually come in and raid it. You could fire a toy cap gun at them, that scares them. Be persistent until they learn the lesson.

I had the same problem for years at my house, and it was pigeons. Since nobody likes pigeons, my dad got a bb gun and we killed like 3 of them and no others appeared. We tried the fake owls, we tried the repellent, and event he sensors that make noise. If I were you I would go for the killing, and once you start, you get a wicked blood lust

They are really annoying because they poop everywhere and it's gross and big poop.

-I couldn't find any owls so I read fake snakes could help but that didn't work.

-Obviously don't suggest killing them...

-I read about a sonic bird repellent but I have a dog so I don't think that will work.

-I know it's not good to leave dog food out but sometimes he doesn't eat it all so we have to leave it out if he gets hungry sometime

What can I do...they are getting so troublesome
