I used to have 2 parakeets and they both usually dont like me so what you need to do is play with them and feed them food yourself so that you will gain their trust.

budgies dont really like to be pet. your not really suppossed to pet birds. if a bird trusts you though, it could let you give it a head scratch.

you cant get your birds to bonnd with you. their already bonded with each other. people say that when you get two birds, you can excpect them to not love you as much as they love each other.

Iv had my two parakeets for 3 years and they still treat me like a stranger. Yes, they do step up and let me hold them, but they don't let me pet them. They freak out and run away. Its a bummer :/
