The females stay in their web, and if you cant get a finger or hand under her hide to coax her out, you would need a bug rifle or similar bug catcher. If you drive her out of her web there is a chance to catch her by hand, but these can spook easy and run.They are only fast for short distances, this is how I catch hobo spiders.
Personally, I would just let her stay, give her a name, and a bug now and then.
I have the same thing behind my desk as I type this. their messy web is their worst.

There's a spider in my room in some kind of funnel web, but I haven't been able to get a close look nor identify it. Do funnel web spiders tend to be dangerous? Or is there no reason to worry? Either way I want to remove it (No, I won't kill it), but it's very fast, so I won't be able to catch it if it starts running around the floor. What's the best way to prevent it from doing that? Thanks for any answers!
