One feature that classifies a spider, is having 8 jointed walking legs.
It is possible for a spider to loose a leg(or two), and spiders also have only two body segments.
Arachnids like harvestman have only one body segment, and solfugids have long pedipalps making them look to have ten legs.
Most spiders have 8 legs, but in today's time we see all different kinds of spiders some have 4 legs, 6 legs, 8 legs and some times even 12. House spiders have 6 to 8 legs and you are more likely to see spiders every where with 8 legs.
Spiders have eight legs! :)
normally they have 8 legs.but there are some exceptions in some species
commonly its only 8.
I've seen spiders with 8, 6, and even 4 legs. How many are they actually supposed to have?
