You can always ask the vet to humanely euthanise him if he is really suffering - it's certainly quicker than dying from not being able to feed/drink properly.
For small animals vets normally use anaesthetic gas to put them to sleep, which is completely painless and very fast.
My canary winged parakeet is a baby and hes really sick like always being puffed up, falling off perch, weak, always sleeping, and eating slowly. I took him to the vet and he gave me some medicine to give my bird but it didnt work so i took him again and he said he doesnt know the problem and said he never seen this type of problem before and said that he was probably born sick since he is only about a year old. How long does he have ? I just want him to die i hate seeing him like this and there is nothing i can do
