How do I tame my Indian Ringneck Bird?

Indian ringnecks should be sold at 3months, I think that's the reason why it's scared. But to fix your problem, get your ringneck comfortable towards you by putting your hand in and out of the cage to get it used to your hand. Since u gave a apple slice to it and it took it, that's a good sign. Spend 24/7 with him/her, and start hand feeding him/her. Next, hold him/her every day, if you have troubles carring it by putting your finger in front of it and wanting it to step on your finger, try scooping her/him up . When it feels comfortable try using the step up technique so you don't have to scoop it, and remember to give it a reward (apple slice, grape etc) good luck!

PS,: to stop it from flying out of its cage, why don't you buy a bird harness, you can take it on walks too.

I just bought an Indian ring neck bird today and he's around 2.5 months old. He's very scared and won't chirp or anything like that. I'm scared that I won't be able to train and tame him properly so I'll be needing tips on what to do with him/her everyday. Today he/she was able to take an apple slice from my hand through the bars of his/hers cage. I want my bird to be able to sit on my hand and not fly away from his perch at the opening top of it's cage and I also do not want him to bite. Please help.
